Blaupunkt recently released a warning to consumers concerning the purchase of Blaupunkt products through non-Authorized outlets. These non-Authorized outlets include both walk-in stores and online web sites. They have indicated a fundamental change in how they will warranty the products that you purchase. Blaupunkt has stated; " We at Blaupunkt stand behind our product. For Blaupunkt to warrant our product, we must be certain of its origin. Our authorized dealers sell only genuine Blaupunkt products. Our authorized dealers are trained and provide after-sales support. Blaupunkt will only provide a manufacturer's warranty on products sold by one of our Blaupunkt authorized dealers." At this time, there are only five Authorized Internet Blaupunkt Dealers, of which, Continental Imports is one. There are many walk-in stores that are Authorized Blaupunkt Dealers that you can purchase Blaupunkt products locally also. The ramifications of this statement, as we understand it is, if you find an online site that is not an Authorized Blaupunkt Internet Dealer, and make a purchase, you will not have any warranty for that item.
