Blaupunkt Coding ProcedureThese units are factory coded. Many Blaupunkt radios were equipped with an electronic Anti-Theft system that would render the unit inoperable unless a four digit code was entered. The procedure for entering this code is as follows. The example will use the code "2132". This is only an example of the possible codes, and in no way should be considered a "skeleton key" type of code. The animation that illustrates the process may not look like your unit, however the buttons to push and the display readout will be the same (unless noted later in this example). ![]()
If you have not entered the correct code, or it was done incorrectly, then the unit
will display "----" for 10 seconds. You will then be able to try again but after three attempts the radio will shut down for 15 minutes. The Daytona CR42, Malibu CR42, Cheyenne CM42, and
the Santa Fe DCM42 will shut down for 60 minutes. Wait for the required time interval (the unit must be left on during this period), and then you can repeat the procedure. You have a total of 20
attempts before the radio shuts down permanently and must be reset at an Authorized Blaupunkt Service Center.
