Blaupunkt Coding Procedure
These units are factory coded.
Many Blaupunkt radios were equipped with an electronic Anti-Theft system that would render the unit inoperable unless a four digit code was entered. The procedure for entering this code is as
follows. The example will use the code "2132". This is only an example of the possible codes, and in no way should be considered a "skeleton key" type of code. The animation that
illustrates the process may not look like your unit, however the buttons to push and the display readout will be the same (unless noted later in this example).
- Turn on the unit. "CodE" will appear in the display.
- Touch one of the presets 1 through 4 (the animation shows #1 highlighted in green). The display now shows "0000".
- Press preset #1 two times. Each time (the animation shows #1 highlighted in cyan) the button is pushed the display will go to the next higher number. Press preset #2 once (highlighted in cyan).
Continue with preset #3, three times, and preset #4, twice. The display will now show "2132".
- To lock in the code and activate the radio, press preset #5 (as shown in red). Your unit will now operate normally until the next time the constant power supply is interrupted.
The code must be entered in less than one minute or the unit will see that attempt
as an incorrect code. If you have not entered the correct code, or it was done incorrectly, then after three attempts you will see the word "CodE" flashing in the display. Wait for the
display to stop flashing (the unit must be left on until it stops), and then you have one minute to repeat the procedure.
